Sang und Klang Festival 2020, imagination and adaptability and togetherness. Against all odds, the festival coordinators created an event that upheld the festival’s ideals and found new ways to branch out to people. The festival is still a cultural and resilient celebration with a hybrid format, diverse musical performances, and an emphasis on collaboration and cultural exchange.
Then came 2020, when Sang und Klang confirmed that music is the universal language and that things are bad, but it brings happiness, warmth, and a sense of unity. So, at the end of the festival, everyone went home or shut down their computers, but with all the songs, memories, and friends they found at this festival, and how it would be next year.
